Introduction

Cervco Health ("Cervco," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our services, or purchase our gut-brain wellness testing products.

Because we collect and process health-related information, we take extra care to handle your data responsibly. Please read this policy carefully. By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide

When you create an account, purchase a test, or contact us, we may collect: your name and email address; billing and shipping address; payment information (processed securely through our payment processors); phone number; date of birth; and any other information you choose to provide.

Health and Biological Information

When you use our testing services, we collect biological samples (stool samples) that you submit for analysis; microbiome analysis results and related biomarker data; health questionnaire responses; and information about your cognitive health, lifestyle, and wellness goals. This information is considered sensitive personal data and is handled with additional safeguards.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information, including: device information (browser type, operating system, device identifiers); IP address and approximate location; pages visited, time spent, and navigation patterns; referring website or source; and cookies and similar tracking technologies (see "Cookies and Tracking" below).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve our services, including processing your test samples and delivering personalized results. We use it to communicate with you about your orders, results, and account. We use it to send marketing communications (with your consent, where required). We use it to analyze website usage and improve user experience, to detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access, to comply with legal obligations, and to conduct research to improve our products and the science of gut-brain health (using de-identified or aggregated data).

Advertising and Third-Party Data Sharing

We work with advertising partners to reach potential customers and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. This includes sharing certain information with third parties.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

We use Meta technologies including the Meta Pixel, Conversions API, and advanced matching features to improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. This means we share customer activity data with Meta, including: page and product views on our website; items added to or removed from your cart; purchases and conversion events; and hashed identifiers (such as email address or phone number) to match your activity to your Meta account.

This data helps us show you relevant advertisements and measure how well our ads perform. Meta may use this information to improve their advertising services and show you ads on their platforms.

Important: We do not share your health data, test results, or biological information with advertising partners. Only transactional and website interaction data is shared for advertising purposes.

You can manage how Meta uses your data for advertising by adjusting your Off-Facebook Activity settings in your Facebook account.

Other Advertising Partners

We may also work with other advertising platforms (such as Google Ads) that collect similar information through cookies and tracking technologies. See "Cookies and Tracking" below for more information and your opt-out options.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, understand how you use our site, and deliver and measure advertising. These include essential cookies required for the website to function, analytics cookies that help us understand site usage, and advertising cookies that track your activity to deliver relevant ads.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality. For targeted advertising opt-outs, you can visit the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org.

How We Share Your Information

Beyond advertising partners, we may share your information with service providers who help us operate our business (payment processors, shipping carriers, laboratory partners, email service providers, cloud hosting); with professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors; with authorities when required by law or to protect our rights; and with a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your health data or test results with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure access controls, regular security assessments, and employee training on data protection.

Laboratory and Health Data Compliance

Cervco Health maintains rigorous standards for handling your health information. Our laboratory operations comply with COLA (Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation) certification requirements for data handling. We are HIPAA compliant (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and GDPR compliant with respect to all test result information.

We will never share your test results or health data with any third party without your express written permission.

To further protect your privacy, customer data is anonymized during laboratory processing. This means that even our lab staff cannot see personally identifying information connected to your samples or results. Your identity is separated from your biological data throughout the testing process and only reconnected when delivering your personal results to you.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Health and test result data is retained according to applicable healthcare record retention requirements. You may request deletion of your account and personal data (see "Your Rights" below), though we may retain certain information as required by law.
